What you can do
Use natural language instead of navigating separate government websites and contact forms.
Find the right federal officials. Frankly uses your verified information to identify the officials who represent you.
Draft in your own voice. Tell your assistant what you believe, what happened, and what action you want an official to take.
Review before anything happens. See the full message and intended recipients before every send.
Send to more than one official. You can address the same message to as many as five federal officials in one send.
Make your position public. Messages sent through Frankly also appear in Frankly’s public feed, where others can see and engage with them.
Frankly is free to use. It is not a political party, advocacy organization, or U.S. government agency.
How it works
1. Connect your Frankly account
Open the secure Frankly connection page and sign in. If your account is not yet verified, Frankly will ask for the information needed to identify your federal elected officials and confirm that messages come from a real U.S. constituent.
2. Tell your assistant what you want to say
Start with the issue, your position, or the action you want. You do not need to know the official’s name or write in formal language.
For example:
“Draft a message asking my senators to support this bill.”
“Help me tell my representative why this issue matters to my family.”
“Who are my federal elected officials, and how can I contact them?”
3. Review the draft and recipients
Your assistant should show you the complete message and the officials selected for delivery. You can change the wording, add context, remove a recipient, or stop.
4. Approve that message
Connecting Frankly does not give an assistant blanket permission to send on your behalf. Each send requires your explicit approval after you have seen what will be sent and to whom.
5. Frankly publishes and delivers it
After you approve, Frankly publishes the message to its public feed and delivers it electronically to the federal officials you selected as an approved vendor.
You stay in control
AI can help with the work. It does not get the final say.
- No silent sending. A draft is not a sent message.
- No standing approval. Every message requires its own confirmation.
- No hidden audience. You see the intended recipients before approval.
- Your position, not ours. Frankly is nonpartisan and does not require you to join a campaign or use someone else’s script.
You can ask for revisions as many times as you want, or decide not to send.
Public by design
Frankly combines direct delivery with public accountability.
When you send a message to an elected official through Frankly:
- The message is public in Frankly’s feed.
- Your name and congressional district appear publicly with your profile.
- Your address, phone number, and email are not displayed publicly in the app.
- Delivery may include your contact information so the official can identify you as a constituent and respond directly.
Do not include anything in the message itself that you do not want the public to see.

Can my AI assistant message Congress for me?
Yes—when Frankly is available and connected in that assistant. The assistant can help identify your federal elected officials, prepare a message, and present it for review. Frankly sends only after you explicitly approve the specific message and recipients.
Does connecting Frankly let an assistant send automatically?
No. Connecting your account authorizes the assistant to use Frankly’s available features; it is not permission to send messages without asking. Every send requires a separate approval.
Which officials can I contact?
Frankly supports U.S. federal elected officials: the President, Senators, and Representatives. It does not currently route messages to state or local officials.
Is my message private?
No. Messages sent through Frankly are public and appear in Frankly’s social feed. Your name and congressional district are also public. Your address, phone number, and email are not displayed publicly in the app.
Why does Frankly need my address?
Your name and address help Frankly identify your federal elected officials and verify that you are a real constituent. Your address may also be shared with an official when required for delivery, but it is not shown publicly in Frankly’s feed or on your public profile.
Does Frankly write or change my political views?
No. Your assistant can help organize or edit what you want to say, but you decide the position, wording, recipients, and whether to send. Frankly is nonpartisan.
